2012 Race Director

At Trilogy Triathlon Club AGM, the club elected a new Race Director for the 2012 race. Sinead Wearen,picks up the baton from Alan Cussen, who organised the 2011 race. Entries will open during January.

2011 Provisional Results

Congratulations to all that took part in today's race. It was a great day for everyone and we hope you all enjoyed it thoroughly. Provisional results have been posted on the results page at 2011 Provisional Results

Race numbers and wave allocations

Please see a full list of race numbers and wave starts at this link.

There is a Wave number and a Lane number for each competitor. Please be ready to swim well before the end of the wave before you. As soon as one is finished, the next begins, and you will be asked to agree a starting order (faster / stronger swimmers going first).

The first wave will start at 9:00am, with each subsequent wave expected to take between 20 and 35 mins. Portlaoise Try-athlon is a chip-timed event; if you start in a wave other than the one allocated to you, it will be picked up on the results and you will be disqualified.

Important Note - regardless of your wave, you MUST register before 8:00am, and your bike must be in transition before 08:50am. There is also a compulsary race briefing for all competitors at 08:30am.

One Day Licence - Final reminder

TO RACE YOU NEED A RACE LICENCE - NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you are not a Triathlon Ireland Racing licence holder (Full, Student or Youth), then you may purchase a One Day Licence. TI have also confirmed that if you have applied for a TI licence and it has not yet arrived, you still need a One Day Licence.

One Dasy licences cost €15, and are only available from Triathlon Ireland's website.

These cannot be purchased after today, Thursday 7 April.
